Calabasas Toy Drive: It’s your last week to donate

CALABASAS, CA – Get Into the Spirit of Giving! The city of Calabasas will be collecting unwrapped toy donations through December 20th.

Residents can drop off unwrapped toys at the senior center at 300 Civic Center Way from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The toys are distributed to “Underserved School-Age Children” by the San Fernando Valley Volunteer League.

The campaign is part of the Volunteer League’s Center Clothes Corner project, which provides year-round clothing and other help for children in need. According to the organization’s website, children are referred to volunteer leagues by partner schools, counselors, and mental health agencies.

The program provides these children with hygiene articles, uniforms, school supplies and basic clothing.

During the Christmas season you can help the organization with toys to bring a little joy.

“Our aid is now more vital than ever to many public schools as there are insufficient resources in the way we provide emergency clothing to many families suffering from financial hardship and homelessness,” it says on their website.
