Beach volleyball schedule 2022
LOS ANGELES – After finishing third in the country last season, LMU Beach Volleyball is back with a busy schedule for the 2022 season.
“We knew we were going to have a really good team this year so we made sure we included most of the best teams in the country when we came up with the game,” said Head Coach John Mayer. “Our goal is to get back to the Gulf Shores NCAA tournament and win a national championship. The strength of this schedule will give us the opportunity to achieve these lofty goals.”
The Lions will play against six of the other seven teams selected for the 2021 Beach Volleyball Championships, with matches against UCLA, USC, Florida State, LSU, Cal Poly and TCU this spring.
The season kicks off with a home game against CSUN and Cal on February 25th.
The West Coast Conference Championships return to the Ocean Park Courts, Santa Monica, April 29-30, 2021. LMU won the conference tournament last spring before receiving an application for the NCAA tournament for the first time in program history. The National Championships will once again be played in Gulf Shores, Ala, with the eight selected teams competing against each other from May 6-8.
