Award process for street-sweeping quotes from August 30th to September 3rd

SANTA MONICA, California – At its meeting last night, the Santa Monica City Council approved a forgiveness program for street sweeper quotes issued between August 30th and September 3rd. 2021. Those who may have already paid for the quote are eligible and will receive a refund.

The city resumed weekly street sweeping on August 30 and launched a large-scale awareness campaign to reach residents with the new schedule. Information was shared on the city’s website; Posted to 52,000 social media followers on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Nextdoor; included in the bi-weekly SaMoNews community newsletter, which is sent to over 23,000 email addresses; posted on digital message boards across Santa Monica; and included in the September issue of Seascape. Community members who have received quotes about street sweeping can use the following procedure to forgive quotes until October 5, 2021:

Submit an application to the city for an initial review confirming that the recipient of the quote did not see any notice in the newspaper between August 30 and the 3rd and did not find out about the street sweep in any other way). Requests for review can be made in the following ways:

Online at https://prdwmq.etimspayments.com/santamonica/dev/review.htm (preferred);

Letter to City of Santa Monica, PO Box 515213 Los Angeles, CA 90024;

Call 800-214-1526 to request the customer service representative for the initial inspection; or

In person at 1575 Westwood Blvd., Suite 100-B, Los Angeles, CA 90024 (Open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.)

Once the request is received and whether or not it has been pre-paid, the city will reject the quote on the basis of a determination that extenuating circumstances make the rejection of the quote appropriate and, if applicable, a refund will be made for a pre-paid quote.
