WILMINGTON (CBSLA) – Sky9 was in Wilmington over a fatal two car accident. The authorities have not disclosed a cause of the crash or the number of people affected.
The crash occurred in block 1100 on West Harry Bridges Boulevard.
At least one person died as a result of the accident, but no further information is currently available, according to the Los Angeles police.
The LAPD report showed that a vehicle driven by a man in his forties was traveling south on King Avenue preparing to turn right on Harry Bridges Boulevard when the driver of another vehicle was driving the Clashed man who was pronounced dead at the police scene.
The driver of the vehicle causing the collision was detained on suspicion of DUI, but no description of the suspect was available.
An initial report from the Los Angeles Fire Department said people were trapped in the vehicles.
One of the vehicles involved was an overturned pickup truck while the other was a red Dodge Charger, which LAPD said contained a person in great danger.
The LAPD had closed both sides of the Harry Bridges and the exit of Freeway 110 to the north.
