Arsenio Hall Sold His Los Angeles House of 30 Years – DIRT

It was never listed on the market, but records reveal Arsenio Hall has officially sold his Los Angeles home of 30 years — a vast hilltop estate in unincorporated Topanga, a remote and historically hippie-dippie community tucked into the rugged mountains between Malibu and the San Fernando Valley.

Records show the deal was inked for exactly $9 million, a very big number for Topanga. But this is also one of the largest compounds in the area, as it spans more than 34 acres and includes a main mansion with 10,000+ square feet of living space. Hall custom-built the entire estate over several years in the early 1990s, just after his eponymous late-night talk show entered syndication — making the Cleveland native wildly rich — and just before he all but disappeared from public view in 1994.

Much of the Hall estate remains a mystery, given that the property has never been on the market. Tax records and aerial views show that the estate is comprised of six contiguous parcels that border state-owned parkland, ensuring total privacy. There are 360-degree views of city lights, Pacific Ocean and surrounding mountains from the home’s hilltop perch. Two gated driveways meander up to various motorcourts with space for dozens of cars, and the entire place is surrounded by a barbed-wire fence and numerous surveillance cameras.

In addition to the vaguely Santa Fe-style main house, there are two additional buildings on the premises. Outdoor amenities include putting greens, a playground, a full-size tennis court, grassy lawns, many hiking trails and a pergola-shaded pond.

Per records, the property’s new owner is Robert M. “Rob” Fedoris, a Pennsylvania-based former executive at Guggenheim Partners, a financial services firm with $300 billion in assets under management. Fedoris now appears to be an executive at Franklin Monroe, a private family office and former Guggenheim affiliate co-owned by Mark Walter, the owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team.

Fedoris and partner Liz Hopkins won’t have far to move — since 2016, they have owned the smaller Topanga house immediately across the road from Hall’s spread. That home is a contemporary-style structure, with 3,000 square feet of living space set on two acres.

Hall has downsized into a new place in the Tarzana neighborhood, where last year the 66-year-old bought a modern farmhouse-style mansion from “NCIS” actor Sean Murray.
