Aggie’s Travel to Los Angeles for Trio of Meets

LAS CRUCES, NM – Following a dominant performance at the New Mexico Spring Invitational, the NM State track & field team travel west for a trio of meets in Los Angeles, California. The Aggies will be sending different athletes to events at the Mt. SAC relays, the Beach Invitational and the Bryan Clay Invitational. Several NM State cross country student-athletes will also be competing at the Bryan Clay Invitational. Action is set to start on Thursday, April 14th and run through Saturday, April 16th.

At last weeks New Mexico Spring Invitational, the Aggies dominated the competition taking first in eight different events including the Shot Put, Discus, Long Jump, 400m Hurdles, 200m Dash, 100m Dash, 4×100 Relay, and Javelin Throw.

Along with overmatching the competition, Jhana Downie (200m), Valissa Brown (Triple Jump), Rebecca Green (Shot Put), and Makiya Moore (Discus Throw) placed themselves on the NM State All-Time Records list with their performances.
