If you’re looking for July 4th events to enjoy, let’s stop you at this point. This list is not a July 4th list. That’s not to say that this list is unpatriotic, but here we have a very nice round-up of everything there is to do in Long Beach before and on Independence Day.
Now that we’ve got that out of the way, there’s another poolside movie screening, night market, vegan vendor pop-up, bar opening, farmers market, and more.

HILTON OUTDOOR DINNER AND MOVIE NIGHTS (Wednesday)

Grab a bite and watch a movie from the top of the outdoor pool at the Hilton Long Beach hotel on Wednesday June 30th. This week “Pretty in Pink” will be shown.
Dining and a well-stocked bar are available on the Hilton Pool’s outdoor terrace, giving guests a few hours to drink and dine before the movie starts at 8:00 p.m. And yes, you can definitely swim while watching the movie.

NIGHT MARKET – LONG BEACH VINTAGE ETC (Wednesday)
From 5pm to 9pm, Long Beach Vintage Etc. hosts an evening market (indoor and outdoor) where diners can buy anything vintage and antiques. From clothing and house decorations to tableware and jewelry – there is a lot to discover.
In addition, every stand in the shop offers a discount of between 20 and 50%.

FIRST FRIDAY – BIXBY KNOLLS (Friday)

The monthly outdoor community event, First Fridays, is back for the first time since the pandemic on Friday July 2nd with a July 4th themed celebration.
For those who have never been there, the free event is something of a community block party in Bixby Knolls where local artists and businesses come together to connect with the community.
Expect food, music, art, performances, pop-up vendors, special discounts, and extended shopping hours in stores along Atlantic Avenue.
The event, which runs from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, spans a few streets in Bixby Knolls, but the focal point is the Expo Arts Center at 4321 Atlantic Ave.
OPENING OF THE BIRD (Friday)

The newly renovated and renamed The Bird (formerly Fern’s Cocktails) will open to the public for the first time on Friday July 2nd.
Check out how new owners David Baumann, Leslie Koa and Tod Hipsher redesigned the 25-year-old bar in Alamitos Beach and drink from 6pm until closing.

VEGAN DISTRICT LONG BEACH – THE PIKE OUTLETS (Saturday)
Vegan sellers will conquer the Pike Outlets on Saturday, July 3rd, from 12 noon to 6 pm.
Shop vegan groceries and baked goods, skin care, make-up and other cruelty-free products from 18 vendors. You can find the vendors in the middle of the outlets near Forever 21 and H&M, overlooking West Seaside Way.
Participation in the event is free.
The Pike Outlets are located at 95 S. Pine Ave.
LONG BEACH FARMERS ‘MARKET (Sunday)

You probably already know the weekly farmers market on East Spring Street and Clark Avenue well, but if you aren’t, this Sunday is your chance to explore all of the fresh and organic produce, baked goods, and other vendors that Long Beach Farmers Market is one of the most popular in town.
The market is free and open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
