Totally Valley Block Party will raise money for the homeless in LA

SHERMAN OAKS, CA – Westfield Fashion Square in Sherman Oaks will host the first annual Totally Valley Block Party, a festival of food, drink, games and a DJ that benefits the Valley’s annual drumstick dash.

The block party will take place on September 25th from 6pm to 10pm at the main entrance of the mall (14006 Riverside Drive, Sherman Oaks). Participation is free, but party goers must register in advance. Information on registration can be found here.

DJ Chris One and MC Cliff Tan provide the music and guests can enjoy outdoor fun and games.

At least 10 popular food trucks will be serving their classics, and five local breweries – 818 Brewing, Trustworthy Brewing, San Fernando Brewing Company, Brewyard Beer Company, and Hand-Brewed Beer – will be serving drinks.

All proceeds from the beer garden go to the Drumstick Dash, a 5/10 km run / hike on Thanksgiving morning that raises money for the homeless and hungry in the San Fernando Valley and greater Los Angeles.

The event is jointly organized by My Valley Pass (a visitor guide to the San Fernando Valley), San Fernando Valley Eats, Westfield Fashion Square, and GEC Events.

“We’re excited to be working again with our friends at Westfield Fashion Square, Sherman Oaks,” said Oscar Urrutia, Founder of My Valley Pass. “Together we look forward to raising funds for such a good cause while giving the community a safe way to end the summer.”
