Holiday Cheer On The Pier At Pier Locals Night

SANTA MONICA, CA — This month’s Locals’ Night at the Santa Monica Pier will include holiday fun and events for residents to enjoy.

On Dec 15 locals can look forward to seasonal storytelling, home-grown talent and Christmas staples like caroling and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

“The holidays highlight home, family, friends, and the value of gathering together, which is precisely the same theme of the Santa Monica Pier’s Locals’ Night series,” a pier representative said.

Activities for the night include:

  • Children’s crafts, story time and face painting followed by performances by the Bob Baker Marionettes at the Merry-Go-Round.
  • Musical performances by McCabe’s Hootenanny at the East Deck Stage.
  • Interactive art and performance by Sae Change Lab, the Westsite dream car show, live music from The Strands, carolers from Santa Monica High School and Photo opportunities with the Clauses will be at the Pacific Park Stage.
  • Dance performances by the Arthur Murray Dance Studio and the Santa Monica Ballet Folklorico will also take place at the Pacific Park Stage.
  • A DJ set from the Sea Change Lab will be at the West End of the Pier.

Locals’ Night takes place every third Thursday from September through May and is not only for Santa Monica residents, despite the name. However, organizations and Pier businesses do offer specials specifically to Santa Monican.
