Robert Bove Obituary (1934-2021) – Amherst, Ohio

Robert W. Bove, born October 19, 1934 in Lorain, Ohio, died on Friday, December 24, 2021 at his home at the age of 87. He graduated from Lorain High School’s B class in 1952 and attended the LCCC. Robert served his country in the U.S. Army’s 4th Armored Division in Ford Hood, Texas, 508th Tank Battalion. Robert worked at National Gypsum, The Pfaudler Co., and retired from PC Campana in July 2021. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing golf, reading, and gardening. He was a member of the Church of St. Peter where he sang in their choir, a 3rd Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus, and a member of the Italian American Veterans Club. He leaves behind his 66-year-old wife, Dolores. Dee “(nee Mehallic); Children: Bob (Laurie) Bove from Avon Lake, Michael Bove from Santa Monica, CA, and Lori (Bob) Campana from Bay Village; Grandsons: Anthony (Jen) Campana, Lauren (Sam) Khouri, Nicole (Gregg) Pier, Krystina (Bryant) Bitar, Alyssa (John) Holtz and Luca Bove; Great-grandchildren: Sophia and Ella Campana, Livia and Demi Khouri, Audriana, James and Isabella Bitar; and his sisters: Dena Kish, Judy Bove and Sandy Soditch. Robert was preceded in death by his parents John and Chris (nee Rosso) Bove; and his sister Fran DiLuciano. The family welcomes friends on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at St. Peter’s Church (Commons Area), 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. A Christian funeral mass will be held in the church at 12 noon, with Pastor Craig Hovanec officiating. He is buried in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain. Military honors are carried out by the Amherst Veterans Honor Guard.
