November book sale sponsored by Friends of the Santa Monica Library

After a long hiatus due to the Covid pandemic, the Friends of the Santa Monica Public Library are hosting the Martin Luther King Jr. Auditorium on Saturday 6th.

Five thousand books are available for sale, including both hardcover and paperback, fiction, nonfiction, art, children’s and young adult books, at prices ranging from $ 2 to $ 5. Only cash.

The proceeds from the sale will benefit library programs, which are particularly important given the budget cut in library funding. Participants must wear a mask.

The Friends of the Santa Monica Public Library are dedicated to promoting the Santa Monica Public Library system, mission and vision. Our volunteer members support the main library and its branches, provide information about and collect donations on behalf of the main library. It works with library administrators, local organizations and institutions to support and promote the expansion and improvement of library services. Funds raised will be used to fund the summer reading program for teens and adults, Santa Monica Reads (20 Arts & Literacy Festival Programs, Adult Programs, Including Online High School Careers Support, Wellness Programs, Seniors Service Support, SMPL Online Academy and image archives.
