‘Survivor: Fiji’ contestant stabbed and beaten in front of the Pilates studio in Santa Monica

Former Survivor: Fiji candidate Michelle Yi was stabbed and beaten with a metal club early Thursday morning in Santa Monica, California.

The former reality show contestant says she arrived at a Pilates studio teaching classes around 6 a.m. when a disheveled and angry woman started yelling at her and approached the front door.

Speaking to People, Yi claims she was attacked while trying to tell the woman to leave.

“She stabbed my left bicep,” says Yi. “And then she hit me on the right hand with the baton. My Apple Watch broke.”

The 37-year-old then said that the woman had attacked again with the baton and this time hit her in the head.

“My face is split open,” says Yi. “Blood was everywhere.”

Frighteningly, Yi says that one of her students tried to call 911 after the woman ran away but only heard a message informing her that all operators are “currently busy”. Fortunately, minutes later they were able to stop a passing police car.

Santa Monica Police Department officials did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.

However, a police spokesman told People that the attacker was still at the scene, arrested and charged with three counts of assault with a lethal weapon. Apparently she had attacked two other people in the area that morning. The spokesman speculated that the attacker stopped her medication.
