The Los Angeles Lakers receive the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday evening for the team’s final home game at the Staples Center. The Lakers remain without a win, while the Warriors haven’t lost a game in the last week of the preseason. Los Angeles didn’t win a game primarily because of its defense or lack of it.

There’s no need to press the panic button as the Lakers have only played four games, which by and large don’t matter, but their struggles show early on what needs to be fixed if Los Angeles makes another exit from the first round want to avoid in the playoffs.

The Lakers were at some point 20 points behind in the first few preseason games and their defense could be a blunder well into 82 regular season games. It’s far too early to count Los Angeles, but there are questions that need to be answered.

There are questions the Los Angeles Lakers have to answer in the final home game of the preseason.

One week from now, October 19th, the Los Angeles Lakers will prepare to face the Golden State Warriors under different circumstances. The Staples Center will spray over a stacked Lakers roster with excitement on opening night, especially after last season’s postseason run was canceled. It will be the beginning of a new year with new hopes.

However, Los Angeles has only to survive the last two preseason games. Starting with today’s game against the Warriors, there is still a lot to do. Fortunately, this time of year is for that. The Lakers defense has yet to impress, the Big Three are set to make their debut and the team is still in the process of figuring out who will make the starting line-up.
